Things I managed to do during the Cubs game today
#1
Go for a run
Mow the lawn
Shower
Go to a wake
Eat dinner

...and I still managed to watch about 8 innings of it.

Went to the gym, watched the first inning during my pre-lift run
Watched the 8th inning during my post-lift run
Watched the 9th inning at home
Went to the movie theater to see Terminator
Followed along on my phone for the whole movie
Watched ALL of Terminator
Cubs win right as the movie ends

Sat in the hospital.

Change a shitty diaper.

Repeated numerous times.

Sat in Row G about halfway down the right field line at Great American Ballpark.
Ate a giant nachos, slice of pizza, cheese coney, bag of peanuts, and spent about $75 on beer.

Just got home an hour ago.

Croz . . . I don't have kids . . . but I think that if you're still changing diapers in 18 years . . . you might have done something wrong.

It's funny you mention that. I watched the whole game, but turned it off, in the ninth I think, after that goofy bloop double, because I figured the game was over. So my wife and 2 kids and I sat down to watch WALL-E. All through the movie I was tempted to go to the computer and see when they lost, but I resisted. Movie get over, I finally check the computer, and I see Cubs 6-3. I wonder what inning they finally won, so I check, and it turns out the game is still going on. I turn the game on, and watch the last 3 outs. So I basically missed all the unnecessary stuff.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

yeah, but you missed the scoring too. i, like everyone else, kept turning the game off, thinking they were going to lose, but i kept coming back. my wife was laughing at me so i just said fuck it around the 11th inning and stuck with it til the end. glad i did, but man was that game boring. there must have been a hundred foul balls hit in extra innings, a hundred baserunners stranded, and not a great fielding pay or clutch hit to speak of. boring as shit....til the end.
Wang.
