I need some help here. I've got a song stuck in my head, and I need to find it, but I can't figure out who sings it or the title. I think it's pretty current. The guy singing sounds kind of like a cross between Jonathon Richman and the guy from Kings of Leon... it may even be the Kings of Leon for all I know, but the guitars don't sound anything like them. The only lyrics I can think of are the chorus which is something along the lines of: You want it, you need it, or maybe it's you want it, you got it.

Pretty vague, I know.

I would need more lines than that. Aren't there a gazillion songs with lyrics just like those?

Thanks, that's it! I wasn't sure if it was them or not, and I've had it stuck in my head since I heard it the other day. So, is this from an earlier album of theirs, because it sounds nothing like the one that I've got?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I got an e-mail saying they were playing the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Seems like they went from a band playing clubs to playing arenas almost overnight.

I loved their first two albums, the 3rd one was ok, and the last one was pretty bad.

Their 3rd was definitely a major shift for them, but I thought it was still a solid rock album. This last one could have been written and recorded by Daughtry. Fucking terrible arena pop music.

I don't know, they kind of lost me on the 3rd album, which got too far away from the southern, bluesy stuff that I really liked on the first two.

Now they are trying to sound too much like a bad version (or recent version) of U2.

same for me. but to be honest, all i've heard from their newest album are the 2 songs they played on snl this season. i was jacked all week to see them that night and then they sounded like they wanted to be coldplay or something. it was a very disappointing night for me.
Life is a bitch, but she's totally doable.

Meh. Good for them I guess. I just don't think they'll come close to selling out any of these shows.

I can understand why people didn't like their 3rd album, but taking it on its own merits and not comparing it to the first 2, it still holds up fairly well. My main complaint with it is that it's a lot slower and less southern rock than their early material and some of the tracks drag on way too long, but at least it rocks in its own way. This last one is just plain weak though. It has no soul and it's very calculated pop music at best. They've completely lost their edge. I can honestly say there isn't a single good song on the entire thing.
