I think Johnson and Fontenot are going to continue to suck. Particularly Fontenot...the guy just isn't an everyday player. He's a good guy but its getting to the point where I get irritated when his turn in the batting order comes up cause its starting to feel like he's an automatic out(rightfully or not).

In his defense, the Aramis injury is what made him an everyday player instead of a platoon player. Then again, his platoon-mate is the worst hitter in the history of the universe - a tall accomplishment on this team - so who knows what may have been.

I think that switching to third has really hurt Fonty at the plate. I don't think he's focusing as much on his at-bats since he's having to learn a new position at the major-league level. He seems to hit better when he plays at second.
Yeah, and Miles is the worst player in the history of everything.

Just gonna throw this out there . . . there was never anything wrong with having Perez on the team, nothing at all . . . the way Baker chose to use him is another story.

I agree. Neifi was a fine backup, probably one of the better utility IFs we've had over the years. He just shouldn't have been in the lineup every day and shouldn't have ever been hitting higher than 8th in the lineup.
