so i turned the game off yesterday after the white sox went up 4-1. imagine my shock when i found out we won. so i decided to watch the replay on comcast which meant i got to listen to hawk and stone. it was great.
the thing that really got on my nerves though is hawk's constant complaining about the called third strike on soriano that never got called. first off, i thought it was a strike too, but it wasn't a clear cut right down the middle strike. it was borderline at best. it could have gone either way. but not to hawk. he bitched and bitched and bitched about that call for the rest of the game. nevermind the fact that linebrink gave up back to back home runs. it was the missed third strike and the error that hawk kept whining about. he never once gave the cubs any credit for coming back. every time he mentioned the eighth inning it was always "4 uneared runs." what a classless piece of shit he is.
stone must be hating his job now. he has to be. at one point, while harrelson was droning on and on about the missed call, steve said, "and the two pitches right down the middle didn't help either." hawk immediately dismissed that. the home runs weren't why the cubs won, it was the missed call and the error. i feel bad for stone. he's not the same broadcaster he used to be. in fact, he's kind of shitty now. it can't help to be working next to a complete dudnderheaded moron.
