Dempster's arm is gonna fall off. Dusty 2.0 is trying to end his season tonight.

Is right now really the time for a shakeup?

I can't see how letting someone else make in game decisions would adversely affect this team.

What if the players like Lou? You think firing him will magically make our hitters hit?

(And what the fuck?)

I think a manager that actually puts his players in a position to succeed would help this team out immensely. Lou has made so many bad decisions, it's comical.

My whole point was that it was stupid to let Dempster hit. He was obviously out of gas--made an easy out at the plate and then gets pulled after giving up another run. Lou shouldn't have been talked out of sending Bradley or Soriano in to pitch hit.

This team is not going anywhere without a shakeup--maybe after a 4 game winning streak is not the time to have it. But after the next 4 game losing streak...perhaps.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

I don't think it was obvious Dempster was out of gas.

I'd have liked to see him pinch hit for, but this was supposed to be an off day, we're in the middle of nearly a month without an off day, and we've played 100 extra innings games in the last 3 weeks. Lou's decision was not wrong.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

The team went places the past 2 years... I don't know how you can be so confident that this team is going nowhere.

Lou's decision was wrong. Also, if the Cubs don't score, they only have to use the pen for 2 innings anyways.

40 years of observation--that's why. Absent a major move, the Cubs will finish no higher than 3rd--write it down.

Past performance by different players and different teams has little to no relevance on the future.

I'll write down, but you'll probably be wrong. This team is still built to win, I just think they'd be better equipped if someone else was calling the shots.

Mike Gonzalez's delivery looks like he's waiting for someone to finish him in Mortal Kombat.
