Interesting lineup .... hope Dempster gets a lot of ground balls today and the OF doesn't get tested too much.

If someone would have suggested this lineup back in April, fans would have been calling for Lou's head. No Bradley. No Soriano.
If Hill would have started instead of Soto, the lineup would remind me of the one that Lou trotted out against the Giants with Linecum start.
Lou may have finally realized that this year's version of Aaron Miles is not the career 284 hitter who played over 600 games over 6 years but some other guy named Aaron Miles that they found wondering around the streets that never played major league baseball.
Hopefully, it all comes together for the Cubs tonight.

Braves announcers aren't too bad tonight. Thankfully, Chip's not in the booth.

I've seen enough of Vazquez to know that the Cubs really needed to not waste those 5 hits in the first 3 innings.

Demp with the "classic" 1 - 6 - 5 play.
Smart play by Dempster.
With Francouer double, Dempster's play saves a run.

Ok, Wells' dad keeping a golf date on Sunday and missing his son's first career win ON FATHERS DAY might be the lamest thing I've ever heard.

Looks like more of the same shit tonight. The one win against the Sox and the sweep of Cleveland notwithstanding--this is an offensively challenged team no matter how you shake it up.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

Or maybe, just maybe, he was on a golf outing for Father's Day with another one of his children or maybe his wife or maybe purchased by Randy . . . the word lame doesn't really come to mind actually.

That's how I interpreted it.

Except that tonight it feels like we CAN score, just haven't. Normally it feels like we wouldn't even get a runner on base. We'll win tonight.
I got nothin'.
