I saw him in the restroom at a restaurant and that's what I said to him.

I fucking hate him. It was a 3-1 count to the first guy, my computer overheats and turns off, I get back to the Cubs having lost the game. Unbelievable.

Well....too many batters can hit his strikes and nobody swings at his balls. Not a good combination lately. I hate him right now.

He hung that slider to a RH just like he did in Detroit.

And yes, it is easy to jump on him now. However, I havent had faith in him all year, as it is rarely easy with Gregg.

It's times like these that I start thinking about Wood. Are we better off without Wood this season? I really haven't analyzed it at all or read through any threads here. Hindsight's 20/20, but I just can't stand to watch Gregg. Reminds me of Dempster a bit as a closer, as well as Ohman at times. Never easy.

He misses July.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

Wood has a 5.11 ERA and 8 blown saves. That's not the problem.
See what Guzman can do there. If not for Marmol's last 2 games I'd say him. I'd still go with Gregg over Marmol right now.
Edit: 5 blown saves for Kerry, read the projected stats by accident. He's been worse than Gregg though.

I'm done with Gregg. He's a disaster.

If we were to move Guzman to the 9th, who would setup him up?
It's going to be Gregg in the 9th, for better or worse.

Gregg, Marmol, Grabow, Stevens, etc. Grabow's been a solid 7th/8th inning guy the last 2 years. I want the best pitcher in the 9th inning and Guzman is the best pitcher right now. Who knows how he'd handle it mentally but it's worth a shot.

Any chance we see BJ Ryan closing before the end of the year? A guy with experience closing, who walks relatively few and gives up hardly any homeruns. If he can find his form in IA, he'd be perfect for the job.
I got nothin'.
