So much for that.

Awesome.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I've pretty much come to accept that we will be around .500 all season, with or without Aramis. I'm through living and dying with this team for the remainder of the season.

I'm still torturing myself with the belief that we can still make the playoffs.

We can still root for one of our most hated teams not to advance into and deep into the postseason. There's that to look forward to.

Yeah, and after this weekend, depending on how it unfolds, I may have to devote all of my energy toward rooting against other teams. I need to salvage something from this season aside from SOITOW.

The last part is good to hear because it seems like you've been in torture lately.

Let's worry about that when he returns... At least for now, Fox is the best hitter on our team, and in limited action his fielding percentage is still 1.000

Not really. Compared to past seasons, I've actually simmered down quite a bit when it comes to anything Cubs related. I usually vent here the most, but at home I don't get as riled up as in years past.

It looks like with Bradley and Sorianos frequent rest schedules there should be plenty of at bats for Fox. I think that eventually teams are going to stop throwing him fastballs though and he's going to come crashing back down to earth. I hope I'm wrong, though.

Today's HR was Magglio's first since April 27th and if Galarraga holds on for the win, it will be his first since April 26th.

We are awesome.
