Cubs acquire Jeff Baker
#31
What's wrong with his head. It's slightly misshapen or the eyes are off-center or something?

Garbage in, garbage out.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I actually prefer Freel, but this Baker guy at least has some pop in his bat. He still sucks though.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
He has an away .601 OPS, and a 58 OPS+. That, my friend, is sub-Neifi territory.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
He definitely blows. I was just saying he has a little pop because he hit 12 hr in 299 AB last year. Probably doesn't matter though because not only does he suck, but he's battling injuries.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Well, in the end, this isn't going to help or hurt the team. It's one of those things where I just don't understand why Hendry bothered.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Kinda like there was no point in trading Gathright for Freel either. Gathright for Freel for Baker, seems like a bunch of shuffling with no real purpose.

One question mark would suffice.

C'mon. You know Hendry's hobby is collecting second basemen.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Sorry, ill cut that out
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
This post just blew my mind.

Career numbers (away from Coors Field):

.205 .266 .335 (.601)

Incredibly, they're worse this year. Jim Hendry-type fella.

And the hit's keep coming would not be an appropriate statement for the trades Hendry has made.

My how the mighty Jim Hendry has fallen. It seems like only yesterday he was stealing A-Ram away from Pittsburgh for Bobby Hill.

I think Jim Hendry's mystique is gone. Alot of us had the big deals he made in '03 and getting Nomar in '04 and so on, in our memories and hearts. But his good moves are FAR outweighed by his fucking boneheaded moves.

It wasnt even a year ago that he turned edmunds into gold and traded for harden. Dont know how those count in your book tho

I still have faith in Hendry when it comes to making decisions regarding pitching. It just seems like his issues have more to do with building a good lineup.

Picking up Edmonds off the scrap heap turned out to be a good move. I'm not really sure I can judge Harden yet.

I think he is trying to be a little bit too clever. Swapping DeRosa for Miles to save 3 mil could have worked out fine and the high risk high reward Bradley could have been brilliant. Or he could have kept DeRosa and signed Abreu. Not going to win any executive of the year awards, buy for a team with a 120+mil payroll, better safe and simple than sorry.
I like you guys a lot.

His right eye is higher than his left eye... (or rather his left; right as you look at it)

Kinda freaky looking for sure!
