Reds broadcast team
#1
I tuned in to watch the Reds and Cardinals, actually rooting for the Reds. But Brennaman and George Grande make that impossible. They are a couple of stupid whiners and i didn't feel anything but satisfaction as Pujols hit a grand slam to make the game 4-3. How sick is that? And anyone who thinks a Dusty Baker managed team is going anywhere is delusional.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

Yeah Brennaman is a whiny bitch, I hate him. He spent like 2 innings whining about how they were ahead of the Cubs and no one gave them any credit.

I would have walked in a run before I threw a strike to Pujols.

Is there a bigger douche in broadcasting in our division?

Yep, me too

He is now 6 for 7 with 4 grand slams this season with the bases loaded.

That's completely insane. I wonder if anyone has ever had a streak like that.

Pujols with another RBI double now.

The Reds pen completely blew Homeslice Bailey's gem.

start walking Pujols already.

Pujols just got another RBI. That's 5 in 2 innings. Talk about being able to carry a team...

I'm not trying to pick on just you, because numerous people have said something similar here over the years, but this statement is ridiculous. I know he's not a good manager, he's had a lot of problems, whatever. But the fact is, the man has had a lot of success as a manager. He's won three Manager of the Year awards, brought the Giants to within 8 outs of a World Series, and won 85+ over half the seasons he's been a manager. I'm not trying to say he's going to take the team to the top himself, but he's also proven he can be the manager of a successful team.

Edit: Just to clarify, I don't like Dusty at all, I'm glad he's gone, and I would never want him to manage my team. But to write off a team just because he's the manager, that just doesn't make sense.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

Why he see's a single strike when the game is withing 4 runs with that pathetic lineup around him is beyond me.

Indeed. I'd walk him and the run in for sure, make Ryan Ludwick and company have to get a hit to at least tie the game with 1 out. I'm not going to let the greatest hitter on the planet beat me. I was shaking my head the whole at bat. Then boom, grand slam. So goddamn predictable.

And yeah, Brenneman was a complete douchedick the whole game. I even switched to the Cards guys for a bit. It was particularly incredible going from that game, to Vin Scully tonight. It's like going from laying with 800 Rosie O'Donnell's in a mile of diarrhea to sitting in a hot tub with beer and Megan Fox, Jessica Alba, and Rachel Bilson.
