Bradley

I know he's a switch hitter and conventional wisdom says a switch hitter should hit lefty against a righty, BUT he sucks hitting as a lefty. It's not just this season either, his career splits show the same.

Is there anyway he would try hitting right handed against a right handed pitcher? Or is it just that he can't hit right handed pitchers?
I got nothin'.

His OPS as a LH in the past 2 years were .937 and .929

His career OPS:

As a LH vs RHP: .792
As a RH vs LHP: .892
I got nothin'.

Sure, overall he is better as a RH batter. The last 2 years do show that he is more than capable as a LH batter though.

He was pretty good as a LH batter, but he was still better RH.

2008:
LH vs RHP - .940
RH vs LHP - 1.127

2007:
LH vs RHP - .937
RH vs LHP - .966

So I don't know if it's just a matter of hitting LHP better or if it's a combo of being a better overall hitter while batting as RH.
I got nothin'.

I think this is a one year blip from the left side. Clearly this is a Cubbie occurrence, and we're stuck with him from both sides of the plate. My only worry is that as fragile as Milton has been over the years that he regresses into next year as well.

Every time I look at him or hear about him, I still can't help but think that this is one of the dumbest moves that Hendry has ever made.

Easily. It was pretty easy to see at the time that there was no way the latter half of the deal would be even remotely acceptable. With Bradley, there was a chance he put together a couple years like he had in Texas. It was only 2/20 or 3/30.

Vintage SOI...

Not one of you had a problem with the signing when it was made, and not one of you had anything to say when Soriano was on fire in April and May.

Enough with your wisdom.
