I have no idea about LeBron. I've never seen him play basketball, read a quote from him, or seen him interviewed.

Was the discussion ever: All Cubs players are fine, upstanding citizens. But on the flip-side, Albert Pujols is the only baseball player who is a douche? No. That was never my point.

A couple of people in this thread said that the only reason to hate Pujols is because he's a Cardinal. I disagreed. And I provided several pretty solid reasons to dislike him.

I have no idea about LeBron. I've never seen him play basketball, read a quote from him, or seen him interviewed.

Are you trying to argue that I hate Pujols primarily because he's a Cardinal? Because I won't argue with you there. It's absolutely the number one reason I hate him. But he's also a douchebag, which certainly intensifies my hatred for him.

Again, I was responding to the folks who think Pujols is some sort of golden child and find it hard to dislike him. I was just pointing out the reasons that could potentially fan the hate embers.

1. Would I welcome Pujols with open arms if he were to magically get traded to the Cubs? You bet your ass I would. Doesn't mean he wouldn't remain a douchebag.

2. Zambrano screaming on the mound, Sammy's hop, ARam and Alf staring at their homers is in one category. It's kind of dickish, but nearly every player does it. Talking shit about the dude who just won the MVP because you're sour grapes is another. And I can't think of many players, other than Pujols, who does it. Pujoles strikes me as a dick, but so does Zambrano. Yeah, I prefer and will cheer for Zambrano because he's on my favorite team, but I can still think he'd probably be a douche to hang with.
