That is laughable. I'm not sure what Alonso's been up to in the minors but that dude was the most impressive college hitter I've seen in a long time.

Rot him on the bench or send him down to AAA if he has options left. He's a solid defensive 1b though, so he might get some time there when Youkilis plays some 3rd.

I hate America's GM more than any other talking head out there. I've never seen him agree with a fellow analyst, which I don't understand since he sits next to Gammons so often. Was he actually a decent GM while employed w/the Mets?
