#16
Speaking of Pirate trades. Heyman just reported on his Twitter that the Cubs appear to be close to acquiring Grabow and possibly a second pitcher from the Pirates.

Yeah, I meant to say that. Got caught up in jerking off to the Cubs' inning.

It's probably Paul Maholm or some crap like that.

Matt Capps would be a nice pickup. He's having a down year but he's a guy that would likely thrive away from Pittsburgh..

My guess would be Gorzelanny. He's been crap the last couple of years but might still be a better option than Hart or Shark and gives us some depth at AAA at least.

If they say it like that, then no one will buy tickets to the home game versus the Nats tomorrow night.

And if it's Duke and Grabow, say goodbye to Vitters and company if it took Tim Alderson for Freddy Sanchez.

Agreed Clapp. Rhodes will be a much better addition. Lefties have an OPS of .330 against Rhodes this year.

It appears that Clapp was correct...

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->2:56pm: Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Cubs and Pirates are discussing a deal that would send Grabow and Tom Gorzelanny to Chicago. No deal is in place and other teams remain interested in Grabow.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I dont like where this is going. The cubs are going to end up giving up way too much for something they dont really need.
