Here it goes

What ever happen to Greg Maddux? I remember him with the Padres then he fell off the face of the freaking earth.

What ever happen to Jim Edmonds? I remember him playing for the Cubs last year, then what?

I wish there was a network of informational providers, a kind of interconnected web, where I can search for general knowledge and news that can answer questions that pop in my head at any given moment.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Before I opened this thread, I thought we signed him or traded for him something. I was ready to puke.

The writer said that any time a pitcher has done that, historically, he has become a superstar (Pedro, Big Unit, Clemens, Koufax, etc.) except for the rare few with bad injury problems.

It was a very small list. Yet BOTH Kerry Wood and Mark Prior were on it.

Oh, what might have been.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I believe the young pitcher is Lincecum.

Well thing is We all know where Maddux and Edmonds are. But who talks about Clement. And.. this little thread I started also seemed to start a conversation about pitchers weve had and pitching in general. I could have looked it up all on my own like a big boy. Or I could have started a conversation about it like forums are for

pwned?
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

The young pitcher is Luke Hochevar and the writer was either Joe Poznanski or Rany Jazeryli. They both discussed this very subject. KB and I must visit the same blogs.

I give props to Dusty for turning a promising young major league pitcher into a high school basketball coach.
