Nope, but he's definitely capable of it.

I thought he won a GG with Fla several years ago. He's a damn good SS, or was when he was younger and healthier.

All shutouts are complete games. There is no such thing as a non complete game shutout. Sorry to be a prick, but this is one of my pet peeves and Soriano has me pissed off.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I think he means 9 shutout innings, as opposed to shutting them out for 7 or 8 or whatever, and then having a reliever come in, prick.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I know what he meant, but by saying shutout you are implying complete game. No need to say it twice. Again, sorry to be a prick.

Alf can be infuriating at times, <b>but we're not in first without him</b>. Without Miles, well...he has made absolutely no impact whatsoever.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Now this I disagree with. Put Fox in LF full time and we have as many, if not a few more wins. Fox cannot be any worse in the field or on the basepaths and is a much better hitter. Soriano blows. It's about time everyone recognizes it and quits making excuses for him.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

This is both untrue and unfair. On May 17th, Soriano had a .932 OPS. His OPS was over 1.000 for most of April. Lee sucked at the time, as did Bradley. He was basically carrying us until virtually the entire team went into the shitter, right around mothers day. He has enormous problems, but there are times, sometime LONG times, where he carries the team.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Any others I should know about before I post next?

Nope, I've calmed down a little bit. But I'll be pissed again when Soriano Ks to end the game.

And he came into tonight hitting .333 with a 1.011 OPS since the break.

Yes there are definitely times when he is an amazing hitter. But they are far and few between. I'd much rather have a consistent player than have one who is on fire for 3 weeks and awful for 3 months. Plus he's half retarded and plays the game with absolutely no passion, hustle or effort.

Well I'm not usually an optimist, but it's not the easiest thing to sweep a road series. And with the Reds having lost 8 straight at home, they were due to get one. Fuck it.

We're missing a valuable chance tonight. These are the games you win divisions with. You HAVE to beat the teams below you. With the Cards losing, and the Reds tossing Lehr out there, we needed a sweep. This team definitely lacks killer instinct, and it's definitely visible with the plethora of comebacks we've allowed all season.

I know I'm probably overreacting, and I should take the series win on the road, but this game was such a valuable opportunity.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Fuck. We needed Theriot to reach to give us a 2% chance. We're doomed now, as if we weren't already though.

I said last night, we came in 12-1 against teams under .500 since the break. The Cubs have been winning the games they're supposed to lately. They're just all way too far ahead of this dude. We can't hit some of these soft tossers but we'll also hit a lot of good pitchers most teams won't.

again, unfair. He has been like that this year, but in the last two years he was no worse than our 3rd best hitter.

You're right. And we did handle CC last year, unlike anyone else. But it's the struggles of Gregg recently, and this game that really make me feel picky. I know I'm putting the expectations too high, but I had good vibes about this roadie and I wanted 6 or 7 wins. Seems doubtful now.
