I don't think Samardzija hides the ball very well. It seems like hitters read the ball well out of his hand.

It's all on the stupid organization for leaving his ass up continuously. He doesn't know how to pitch yet. He has solid stuff but leaves everything over the middle of the plate. You're going to get destroyed that way in the majors. Needs much more seasoning in AAA.

Jake Fox takes so few pitches. It's tough because he's such a great hitter, but major league pitchers have been throwing him a ton of pitches out of the strike zone and he swings at far too many of them.

Yeah. He has pretty good plate coverage though and usually puts the bat on the ball. Still I definitely agree, I'd like to see him take some more pitches. He destroys a meatball so he should increase the chances he gets one by working the count.
