Dodgers/Cardinals

I had a very good day, and coming home to check the score was like the cherry on top. Awesome.

Now, hopefully LaRussa and Duncan leave St. Louis for good and take their magic pixie dust with them.

And hopefully Ricketts comes in, opens his wallet, goes after Matt Holliday, and you get yourself a brand new avatar in celebration.

Does coming here make it feel better about losing or something? What the fuck.

It is what they do. They can't help themselves.

None of this makes me feel any better about the Cubs shitty season.

My hat's off to you guys, at first I thought we (Dodger fans) were the only pessimistic asshole fans in baseball, but as you've shown here, I was wrong. nice display of anger towards the cards, it's kinda like that between us and san fagcisco. Only difference is that giants fans get stabbed and beat up by gang members at Dodger stadium. I look forward to playing against you guys again next year.

We're here commiserating amongst ourselves, not trolling other team's fan boards...not gay bashing a city or bragging about our thugs (they're all White Sox fans anyway). But I agree, it is a shame about the Dodgers' long futility and lack of success across the decades you know EXACTLY how we feel.

By the way, we're not angry at the Cardinals. We hate them. There's a difference.

Quote of the week.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

The only thing that would have made the Holliday play more glorious is if it were the same situation, but a game 7 of the World Series instead of a game 2 of the NLDS.

Then we would have had to hear from Cards fans that they were NL Champs again. No thanks.

NL Central winners is bad enough for me.

I do get to point out that the Cubs had as many victories in October 2009 as the Cards do. Much like how Cards fans pointed out the same to me for the last couple of years.

Agreed. Then we'd also have to hear "Well, at least we made it to the world series, something the Cubs haven't done since blah blah blah......"

I disagree. The only thing that would have made this better is if it'd happened with them with a slim lead and an out away from GOING to the World Series.

This was damn near perfect...second best to an out away from the Series was a three and out in the first round like we've had. Shutting cards fans up is GREAT...second only to the prospect of en-ending agony.

Ahhh yes, I can see the merit in that scenario.
