You can't be serious. The WC isn't coming out of the Central.

You can't be serious. The WC isn't coming out of the Central.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
FWIW, the Cubs have the easiest remaining schedule of any WC contending team.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

The second place team in the Central will finish farther out of the WC race than they will from first in their own division.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I don't think I agree with that.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I'd like to make the playoffs. I'd like to win the division. I'm not out of hope yet. Failing that, I'd like to win the WC. I'm just not optimistic. Not bereft of hope...but lacking optimism.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

OK....but that really doesn't explain you prediction about the 2nd place team being farther out of the WC race compared to the division race.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Explain? I think the 2nd place team from the Central will not have the best record among NL 2nd place teams. I think it's win the division or watch from home.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

That's different than what you originally said, and it seems more likely than your first prediction, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

How typical is it if it takes so long to post?

It will make Joel Piniero's and Julio Lugo's and Colby Assmunch's playoff meltdown all the goddamned sweeter since the fucking Whitesnake-haired, red-shoelace-wearing, come to Chicago to see a real city, Arch-humping, Ted Drews-custard nuzzling, assoholic Cards fans will have been lulled into a sense of superiority.</b><!--colorc-->
<!--/colorc-->

I don't like Cardinals fans much.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I can see why you'd think all that

but just know that Ted Drewes is in fact, delicious.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hmm. I "enjoyed" a misspent year as a youth at SLU. I do enjoy me some Ted Drew<b>[e]</b>s, but I had to crap all over it to lend cultural believability and local flair. If I recall correctly, they serve a Cub-themed sundae on the days when the Cubs come to town.

Truth to tell, while it couldn't compare to Chicago deep-dish, I also kinda dig Imo's four-cheese thin crust pizza.

Still, I stand by my highly logical original premise,<!--coloro:#FF0000--><!--/coloro--><b> which is that people from St. Charles and Adam Wainwright need to get ass-fucked on Vandeventer by the Arch. Sideways.</b><!--colorc-->
<!--/colorc-->
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'd just like to take this opportunity to congratulate myself on my prescience. For, if Matt Holiday's error wasn't the baseball equivalent of a sideways Arch-ass fucking, then I don't know my baseball.

Nor ass fucking.

You may all give me "thank you" s now.
