I was really excited to see it when I heard it had real footage . . . then I snooped around some more and found out it's "real footage" is completely fictionalized. I probably still see it, but my enthusiam has dimished.

Looks lousy, and I can't help but think that the movie is riding the coattails of Paranormal Activity in many ways in terms of style and with the timing of its release as well. Not interested at all.

Paranormal was finished in 2007 and got dicked around by several studios and almost was buried into obscurity if not for fan outpouring, so <b>no</b>, it is very much a likely scenario.
