agreed. I would actually like the deal if Lopez was included.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Am I missing something here? I haven't seen anything indicating Lopez may be included in the deal. Also, Lopez doesn't seem very impressive to me. He's got a career .303 OBP.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah, just wishful thinking. I didn't realize his OBP was so shitty, but he doesn't K much and he's got some pop in his bat.

9.0 IP, 16 H, 8 RA, 3 BB, 2 K, 3 HR, 8.00 ERA

HELL YEAH!

Sorry, I'm not singling you out. A lot of people are jumping to conclusions about this and we just heard about it less than an hour ago.

Plus, I like to pull out the Jump to Conclusions mat as much as possible.

It can't be straight up. There has to be something other than Carlos Silva coming back.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I hope so, but I don't see it happening. Their salaries are basically a wash.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

My understanding is that Silva signed a 4 year deal worth $44 to $48 MM in 2006. He has 2 years remaining on the deal and between $24 to $28 MM remaining while Bradley is due $21 MM.

From Cot's Baseball Contracts, Silva contract for 2010, 2011 and 2012 (mutual option):
2010:$11.5MM, 2011:$11.5MM, 2012:$12MM mutual option ($2MM buyout)

Levine said the deal is waiting on commissioner approval because of money changing hands, so its not gonna be an even salary swap.

Silva's owed $23 million over the next years & has a $2 million buyout for 2012. Bradley is owed $21 million over that time.

So, we replaced Harden with Silva... That's the start of a championship rotation if I ever saw one

I said a few offseasons ago that Silva was just the Latino version of Marquis.

I was wrong. Silva is much much worse.

Fuck Hendry if this is true.

And Mariners fans seemed pretty stoked about this deal.

Some feel sorry for us.
