HOLY SHIT! DO YOU GUYS REALIZE WHAT THIS MEANS?!

Hey Mark? Shut the fuck up. You're only coming clean now because you're coming back into the semi-spotlight. Everyone knows you were on 'roids. Fessing up now doesn't make you look any better.

I think he's trying to get into the HOF. He saw the vote, and might figure that he can only get in with an admission.

The other day, Gammons said that he didn't think any admitted/uncovered users would get in...we'll see.

I don't see how it improves his HOF case. I don't care whether he admitted his mistake or not. He's still a liar and a cheat, and a disgrace to the game.

I'm looking forward to all of the standing ovations Big Mac will receive from the Best Fans in Baseball. It will be magical.

What happens when Sammy does the same thing, if he does at all? Will/should he get the same response that we're seeing here? Look, I'm not sure why people change their minds, but timing is everything. I guess the more important question may be, why wold Sammy admit it?

Also, McGwire is a douche and deserves little or no respect from ANYONE in the baseball community EVER again. Hearing him break up during his admission today made me laugh out loud. As he continuously spoke about protecting his family and friends, all I can think of is what's differnet now Mark? Why change your opinion NOW you idiot.

If you wish to blanket all the players in that era, so be it, but this guy's the poster child.

I am watching the live interview by Bob Costas on MLB network right now and McGwire sounds like an idiot. He still refuses to admit that the steroids helped him hit homeruns...he said it only helped him with injuries. Why doesn't he understand that NO ONE is going to believe that they roids didn't help him hit homeruns? If you are going to admit something, admit it 100% you Cardinal douchebag cheating fuck!!

So, does anyone think the day will come when there are asterisks in the book for Bonds and McGwire? Does baseball ever make a statement acknowledging Maris as the single season HR record holder due to the steroids issue?

Won't ever happen.

I can't wait until LaRussa and Duncan are outed for the frauds that they are. They were playing clips of LaRussa on the radio this afternoon, and he is probably the biggest excuse maker in history. He basically admitted that he was never duped and that he wasn't surprised by what went on under his management. How does he survive with his reputation intact? He and his team of "trainers" probably have been hooking up their players with roids and other types of performance enhancers for years, and Selig surely helped cover it all up for the good of the game.

They should all be in jail.

Ok, that concludes my conspiracy rant.

A lot of people who voted for him because there was never actual proof of his steroid use will surely flip-flop. I expect his HOF votes to be the same next season.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Really? You expect his votes to be the same next year? I expect them to drop and to be honest, it would not surprise me at all if he drops off the ballot....I think it is entirely possible that he could get less than 5% of the votes next season.
