My Grandfather was a Sox fan. Somehow, he raised an entire family of Cub fans.
I will free admit that I was rooting against the White Sox in 2005, but part of me was glad they won so my Grandpa could see his team win a title before he died.

Fair enough, but I just have a hard time understanding how these allegiances sometimes skip generations, especially in this town. Most of my family grew up on the South and West Sides but were all Cubs fans, while I grew up on the North Side, so sometimes it's hard for me to make sense of how other families function.

Well, most of it had to do with being able to get to Wrigley easier than Commiskular. Wrigley had ladies day where my mom went with her brothers. Its odd how it happened, but miracles do happen.

With Tyler Colvin knocking the cover off the ball so far this spring is there a chance he makes the team over Fuld? I saw that he played CF in todays box score.

You mean you aren't a huge fan of 5'10" outfielders that drive in 2 runs in 97 at bats and sport the silver sombrero in Spring Training games?
Bleh, I'm fine with him on the roster with his defense and willingness to take a walk at the plate, but he's a 5th outfielder at best.

I think Colvin is giving him a run for his money. That being said, unless Colvin is going to get regular playing time, I dont want him called up only to waste away on the bench.
