Ceremonial first throw at my head by Big Z misses badly. Ch. 32 caught it on tape for any potential lawsuit. Stay tuned.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I can't tell if that's a joke. But I wish Z would put a fastball in Sullivan's ribcage.

Here's a link to the Boys Of Spring website where Tim Sheridan gives daily recaps and posts a bunch of pictures. Man this stuff gets my blood flowing.

Why would this not be video evidence that Z had a little fun and scared Mr. Poopipants? One man's "missed badly" is another's "right on the money...quit whining...it was nowhere near you."

But hey...if Sully wants a "big Fan" moment...sure...sue the ace of the starting rotation. Have fun in the clubhouse this year.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->PHOENIX (AP)—The office of Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig is opposing legislation to build a new spring training facility for the Chicago Cubs.

An Arizona attorney hired by Selig’s office says a proposal to create a surcharge on tickets to all Phoenix-area spring training games is unfair.

Attorney Pat Ray made his comments during a legislative committee hearing Wednesday morning.

The legislation proposed by Phoenix Republican Rep. John McComish would add a $1 surcharge on auto rentals and an 8 percent surcharge on tickets to spring-training games played in Maricopa County, which includes the entire Phoenix area.

The Cubs turned down an offer to move to Florida, choosing to continue training in Arizona if the state and the city of Mesa can come up with $84 million to build them a new stadium.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Selig is such a dick.

This is actually GOOD for every other team in the Cactus League and for the stat of AZ. Publicly finding something that generates or preserves revenue is defensible. Paying for it by "taxing" the consumers of the provided service makes sense. The alternative is the negative economic impact of the Cubs leaving AZ. That hurts the state and all of those clubs far more than a bump in ticket prices will.

Can Selig just retire (die) already?

Yay Spring Training's started! That means ESPN can shove Bartman highlights down my throat already as they're doing right now. They also showed that fucking game on ESPN Classic this weekend as part of their "Heartbreakers Marathon" for Valentine's Day. Fucking assholes.

I think that is exactly what is going to end up happening.

Not to sound stupid...but when do Pitchers & Catchers report? I've heard on a few podcasts it was the 17th, heard on ESPN today that it's today (the 17th), but the Cubs.com ticker says tomorrow. What gives?
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Until we win, we'll be eating the same shit sandwhich year after year.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.
