One race that we probably don't mind the Cubs not winning.
I agree that on paper the Cubs are a weaker team without Harden and Bradley but adding Byrd the question of how much weaker is somewhat debatable. Let's not forget about the Silva addition.
The Mets came out as the biggest losers.

From the "article":
QUOTE and Alfonso Soriano proved to be even more untradeable than Castillo
I must have been asleepin' again. How was this "proved"? By the fact that Soriano wasn't traded? Was he being actively shopped?
And Heyman really crapped on the Nady signing.

He wasn't being shopped, but I wouldn't doubt that had someone so inquired, Hendry would be all ears. Anyway, SI is a joke.

No doubt. But a simple absence of a trade doth not make for proof of "untrade-ability."

I agree. This is a non-issue, and any journalist commenting on something that no one expected to happen is out to lunch pure and simple.

I concur. Let us celebrate our agreement with the adding of chocolate to milk.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that if a team doesn't trade for a player, they have no interest in said player.

I follow Heyman on Twitter.
He was obsessed and dangerously impressed with the A's signing of Sheets. I thought it was crap.

Truth: when Seattle managed to hoodwink someone into trading for Carlos Fucking Silva, it proved that absolutely nobody is untradeable. No matter how hideous that player's contract is. No matter how stupendously terrible the player may be. There is a market for anyone.

Articles like this are such crap. So totally subjective and devoid of actual meaning...
Getting rid of a douche like Bradley is a good thing. Who knows what Silva will do in a new place?
I'd be the Cubs do better in 2010 than they did in 2009.
Terrible fucking article.

On paper, the 2010 Cubs look worse than the 2009 Cubs at the start of the season. I would like to hear anyone debate that.

Did the Cubs play like they looked on paper last year?
