And for what it's worth, as a general rule: those things are always scams. No site - anywhere, ever - is going to tell you it has detected a virus on your computer. At most, a site may warn you that the site, itself, has been compromised (and that will generally be your browser telling you that).

Except for a legit online virus scan, such as this. Sorry, just being technical [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]

But you actually have to initiate a scan like that. If a random popup or whatever comes up telling you that you have a virus, then it's always fake.

Well I had one of those [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asshole.gif[/img] send a PM to me earlier, but I see that the butthead has been dealt with and their account has been deleted. I have noticed at least two account "users" try to pose like they are an administrator.

Now I have a message to the [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asshole.gif[/img] who is trying to pose as administrators and trying to spam this forum and try to put a virus into our computers. Go [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/emu.gif[/img] yourself. All of the members out here know who all of the administrators & moderators are. To our new members & guest, we have the list of who they all are on our opening page.

Now another message to the spammers. Many of the members have known each other for many years out here. Your not going to fool us. Now since you happen to have the brain of a dickhead, you most likely don't know that all of the administrators have our IP addresses. That means that they know when some [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asshole.gif[/img] is trying to use many different user names in an effort to try to fool the administration & the SOI membership. It's not working and it's never going to work. So you can just go and find some other forum to go spam and while your at it go [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/finger.gif[/img] yourself too.
