Bets I would take:
NY Mets over 81
Seattle under 83
Oakland over 78
Minnesota over 82
Tamba Bay under 89.5
San Francisco over 83
I wouldn't touch any of the NL Central win totals.

Sounds like 2009.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

According to those projections no one is going to lose more than 91 games. Last year 5 teams lost 91+.

These aren't projections. They're betting lines on win totals. Big difference.

This is why I never bet on sports, and baseball in particular. Also, I think it's funny that all the projections and such have the Sox struggling to win 80 games, yet if you were to listen to local radio gushing over KW and Ozzie's reworked roster, you would think that the Southsiders are a cinch for another WS appearance and that each of their starting 5 will be competing for the CY award. I never pay attention to the projections. I always have my own ideas for what I think may or may not happen. I am not quite sure what to make of this team yet, as there are still some questions to be answered. But, I am half way through my looks at various players.... maybe a third. When everything is all settled, then I will make a prediction.
I already went over Soto, Lee, Baker and Fontenot and Ramirez. Theriot is on deck when I get a chance. Maybe later today or tomorrow.
If you want to read them, check my blog.

And somehow we had a shittier year in 2009 when we finished with 83 wins and they finished with 79 wins, right? Talking to Sox fans since 2005, you'd think they've won back-to-back-to-back-to-back World Series and the Cubs have finished in the cellar every season.
I haven't listened to sports radio in Chicago (unless listening to WGN during the game counts) in at least four or five years. I gradually stopped after 2005.

With me having to drive to and from work these days, I've found myself listening to sports radio more and more lately. I wish I hadn't started again, because there is NOTHING worth listening to during the morning and afternoon rush. Whenever I turn on 670 I become infuriated. FM radio blows, and AM is a joke. I think I may need to listen to more podcasts (B&I) and audiobooks or something to pass the time. I miss being able to read on the train.

I actually think the Score is better to listen to now than it used to be (they seem to behating every Chicago team almost equally). Could just be me though.

The Score Overnight show is actually reallly good, and 1/2 of Mully and Hanley isn't bad, but overall they still don't treat both teams fairly throughout the rest of the day.

I listen to sports talk radio every day on the way to and from work. I can't get Chicago stations but pretty much all of it is pure shit, regardless of where you live. I have no idea why I keep listening but I do.

Mulley and Hanley
Danny Mac
and Boers and Berns.
They all have a level of entertainment

I disagree. The shows are evenly split
Mulley and Hanley one Cub fan, one Sox fan
Danny Mac and Mat, one Cub fan one Sox fan
B&B, both Sox fans, but they dont sit there and bash the Cubs all the time.
I love hearing people be critical on the team. Maybe not overly so, but I dont want someone who is going to kiss the teams ass and go on and on about how great player X is doing when he is 0-5 with 3 errors (made up player). If someone sucks, I have no problem with them being called out.

I prefer the sound of a dental drill to sports radio.
