Cubs vs White Sox 6 Mar,2010
#16
<!--quoteo(post=81857:date=Mar 7 2010, 08:43 AM:name=cherp)-->QUOTE (cherp @ Mar 7 2010, 08:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I think you learn less than nothing about a club in the early ST games. But as far as Silva goes, no new discovery from yesterday. Had he been effective - that would have been news.

I understand the need to move MB...but IMHO Silva is a negative, not a positive. I would not be surprised if the Cubs just release him and eat whatever is sitting on that deal. Or if they send him to some other franchise, pay most of it, and get some sort of low end reliever or relief prospect.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
They absolutely will be releasing him. And they saved what, $6 million with the swap anyway? I don't think money is going to play a big factor in this. When your manager is laughing in an in-game interview about how bad you are, that's not a good sign.
