So why am I now near certain that Theriot will go down with an injury causing Fontenot to handle SS and bat 210 in a repeat of last season's Aramis nightmare?

Yeah, there is no chance Fontenot will get extended time at short. A game here or there, or a few innings if it makes sense with a double switch.

I'm still expecting him to be absolutely terrible there, just like the last time they tried this, and Lou will stop playing him there(and we'd call up Barney or Castro).

Yeah there's no chance that if theriot was hurt and Castro struggled in AAA that Theriot, the back up SS, would play SS

If Theriot was going to miss a lot of time, and Castro was struggling they would likely call up Barney. Fontenot is only a stop gap if Theriot needs a day off or leaves a game due to injury. I cant see Fontenot playing more than three consecutive games at short.

This thread is ONLY for people who don't know to look at reply #560 of the "Spring training 2010" thread in order to get their information on Cubs trades.

In fact, I am going to simply create a thread called "Cubs 2010", and we can just use that for everything this year.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It would be cleaner if you just started a thread called "Earth."

Or just "Fuck It"
Fat Bastard is an immensely obese, hardly able to walk (weighing a metric ton) gardener and henchman hailing from Scotland. His extreme size endows Fat Bastard with super-human strength as exhibited by his prowess in the Sumo ring from Goldmember. This makes him a formidable enemy for Austin Powers. Fat Bastard is noted for his foul temper, his frequent flatulence, his vulgar and revolting bad manners and his unusual eating habits, which include taste for Human infants (which he calls "the other other white meat") or anything that looks like a baby, e.g. small people. Fat Bastard has been a regular at Cub games since the early 80's when he tried several times (unsuccessfully) to eat the visiting San Diego Chicken.

Easily the nicest thing you've ever said about a Cubs prospect.
