It was fun. Nothing mind blowing. Nothing acurate to the original myth (much like the first one). Just fun.
They made changes from the first movie that I'm sure the fanboys are gonna cry about. The characters were not deep and didn't really develop at all. But, if you just want to see some good CGI and action, it's a good one to see. I can't comment on the 3D as I didn't see it in 3D as I'm not a fan of wearing those glasses throughout the movie.
I went in with the expectation of it just being a fun action movie and enjoyed it. Also, they made a quick homage to the first movie that I got a good chuckle at.

Hopefully Harry Hamlin didn't make a guest appearance. I'm guetting so fucking sick of all the Hollywood remakes.

I'm growing very tired of the Hollywood trend over the past 10 years of turning every stylized action sequence, especially those taking place in ancient Greece or Rome, into something out of Matrix. So corny. So annoying.

They've run out of stories. Like my creative writing professor told me once, there's only two basic stories: man goes on journey, or new man comes into town. That's it.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

This scene from the original had a profound impact on my young life (I think I was 7 years old when I saw it)...
Slightly NSFW...

I collect old metal lunch boxes and I'm proud to say that the one from this movie is in my collection.

I had my wife watch the original and neither of us could believe it was rated PG. It would be an R movie these days just because of the nudity. Very funny how times have changed.
