Bricks & Ivy Radio/Episode 88
#1
Here we go. Bricks & Ivy Radio is up...and a monster.

It was a bloodbath, but the 2010 season is underway. Byrd looked good. Shark not so much. Would you trade Fukudome?

I listened to it last night. Successfully got me down off the ledge. Liver is still going to be destroyed, though.

Does that mean they don't block this one? That's a shame.

Enjoyable show. Despite the vile thoughts swimming around in your head when you see random people on the street wearing Sox gear. Not all of us are bad!

I agree with what you guys talked about when it comes to Fuk, he appears to wander in the MLB environment as the year wears on. While I'm not from Japan and don't know much about Japan, could it be the day games/hot weather that affect his play over time?

Anyway, I'm sure the token ignorant "go away White Sox fan" post is inbound, so I'll leave it at that.

I'm actually impressed that you continue to listen to our show given your choice of Chicago baseball clubs.

You seem like one of the "good" Sox fans -- and I've been impressed with your posts when you decide to hang around here. If all Sox fans were more like you, I wouldn't have any problem whatsoever with the Sox or their fanbase. Unfortunately, the more ignorant fans also happen to be the most vocal (which probably holds true with any group of people).

Just finished listening to the show.

Good stuff. Way to put on smile and drag depressed Cub fans out of the depths.

I love baseball, and despite being a Sox fan, it doesn't mean I have to hate the Cubs, or their fans. While I do hate some Cubs fans, I also hate some Sox fans for the same reasons.

I like the show because it's two fans talking about the sport/team they love...and often when I listen to most sports radio they talk about certain sports because they have too, not because they want too. I don't get that vibe from this show. Besides, it gives me added insight about the Cubs...and even if they aren't my favorite team, they're still a baseball team. Spartacae?

That was a wonderful therapy session....and the best show since your return.

I expected Rappster's last words to be "our time is up."

I have something special for you guys on Thursday night.
