<!--quoteo(post=96373:date=May 14 2010, 05:18 PM:name=Ace)-->QUOTE (Ace @ May 14 2010, 05:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Did someone accidental close this topic?

In any event, Matthew Cerda must have gone through SERIOUS slump because he had a huge BA for a while early.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I was thinking that the other day. I'm hopeful he can become a decent third baseman. After Vitters, we don't really have anyone there unless Flaherty or LeMahieu is pushed in that direction, and I haven't heard anything praising either of them in terms of arm strength.

Ty Wright just hit a grand slam for Tennessee. I'm wondering if he's a late bloomer. He's never had bad numbers at all, but has been a bit old for the level he's been at along the way in his development through the system. He's showing some power this year that he hasn't shown much of in the past. I wonder if he could be a platoon partner for Colvin in the future and we can nail down cheap production for one of our corners. If he could hit 15 home runs a year as a platoon/pitch hitter, he could be a decent player. Of course, a right handed corner outfield bat isn't exactly hard to find. He could be a Ryan Church/ Reed Johnson type though.

Chris Huseby is at extended spring training... and he just hit yesterday as the DH. He raked. Interesting development.

I didn't even know he was a two way player. I had high hopes for him as a shut down reliever, but if his health is going to be a recurring problem and he is a capable hitter, I think now is the time to convert him rather than when he's 27 years old after several surgeries.

That's what I'm talking about! I was worried about him for a while but he has pulled it together nicely. The 0 walks is almost as impressive as the 10 Ks. The guy has a lot of potential. I'm hoping he keeps tearing it up and gets to AA before the end of the season.

When are we bringing up Diamond? I have a plan. We simply bring him up, move Z to the bullpen, and then.......

I would actually love to see Diamond in the pen to replace Caridad. His SP dreams can be put on hold a little while longer though.
