2010 Minor League Roundup
The number of older position players on this team is going to hamper Hendry's ability to bring up any young kids.

Realisitically, we only have Tracy, Colvin and Fontenot that can be reassigned to the minors or DFA'd. Tracy is expendable, but Colvin and Fontenot are unlikely to get sent down to IA.

So realistically, we have 1 spot right now that could change without trading someone. If Castro comes up, we need to find a spot on the 40-man roster for him.
I got nothin'.

No brainer. Tracy is absolutely worthless. Push him out to sea on the ice floe.

I think Andy's right. It's going to come down to an injury or some other team having a need for a middle infielder before Castro gets the call up.

Yea, silly of me to think about improving the talent on the roster.

Tracy is useless. Put him out on the street with the rest of the rubbage. Bring up Castro. Platoon Theriot and Fontenot at 2B and keep Baker around as a super sub. Something needs to change or else this season will be over by month's end.

I'm not saying we shouldn't make a move. I just think it's going to require a trade to make it happen.
I got nothin'.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Believe me, I'm on board with your thinking. I wasn't in favor of Castro making the team so soon out of Spring Training, but he seems to be ready and I didn't expect our offense to suck this bad.

Starlin just keeps on hitting. Do you think the Cubs keep him down until June no matter what?

Starlin 4-7 in Doubleheader, now up over .400

Two homers for Vitters is nice to see. Also, keep an eye on Brandon Guyer. He was very well thought of until he struggled in AA when he was first put there at the beginning of last year. He's supposed to be a very good center fielder and has been very disciplined at the plate. He has a IsoD of .153!

I say they keep him down long enough to keep him from becoming a Super Two...
