2010 Minor League Roundup
The second you knew 2010 would be bad: When Lou announced Caridad would be his RH set up man/8th inning guy. Man how time flies.

That's what happens when you give up one run in 2/3 of an inning.

Ah, I didn't realize it was his first outing since returning from the DL.

Everybody did. He was terrific last year and looked lights out in ST. He was the one guy I was confident in outside of Marmol and Marshall.

Yeah I thought he would be an good arm as well, but didn't think he was ready for the setup/8th inning role just yet. He did have an outstanding spring. Guzman coming physically undone really did doom this bullpen. It's too bad because the kid really has an electric arm.

Third base. He could never walk quite enough and hit for quite enough power... until this year. There was a time when I hoped he could be the Cubs third baseman after Aramis left, maybe he does have it in him. Problem is I can't really see the Cubs carrying two guys that only play third base and he's kinda old to be keeping in the minors another year.

I just wonder about him being able to play third base in the majors. He's 5'10", 210 pounds, not exactly the ideal size to handle the hot corner. He's played some second base and that's where I think he'd be most likely to find time as a regular in the majors.

I watched him play a bit when he was on Clemson. Reminded me a lot of a Marcus Giles with his size and the type of hitter he is.
