More encouraging about LeMahieu than all the hits, is all the extra base hits lately. Two doubles, a triple, and a homer in the last 10 games. He's been dreadful in the slugging department despite a good sized frame. Hopefully he keeps putting a charge into the ball.

I wonder how soon we can expect LeMahieu to make it up to the big club. We're gonna need a 2B soon.

I haven't seen the way he hits, but if hit stats are any indication we could have a Ryan Theriot clone on our hands. I wouldn't really be upset with that and I hope for more, but I know Theriot is despised by many here. You'd think the extra 6 inches would help LeMahieu, but all the singles worry me that he's just a slap hitter.

I just assumed he had more pop in his bat. Didn't he SLG close to .500 in college? Maybe I expected too much from this guy.

He slugged 482 his last year at LSU. His 6'4" frame should produce more slugging that the 5'11" Theriot, one would hope.
He turns 22 tomorrow.

Yeah, I saw some of his at bats at LSU and he looked like a guy that should develop power. Certainly didn't remind me anything of a Theriot.

Seriously? This was posted over 2 hours ago, and not a single one of you clowns are able to make anything out of Scarey talking about an extra 6 inches?

where the fuck is tom?

Even if he is only a Theriot, a guy with Theriot's attributes but smart, wouldn't be a terrible thing. Theriot's biggest problem is how dumb he is.

Yeah, if he turned into a 2008 version of Theriot with any amount of pop whatsoever, I don't think anyone would complain about him.

Bare in mind that if the organization has its druthers, LeMahieu isn't the 2B of the future - Castro is, with Hak-Ju Lee at short.
