Cubs fans aren't the only racists

This is why o-dog is full of shit. The Cubs offered Dye the same deal, and he turned it down. They didn't offer the white guy a better deal, it's just that the white guy took it.

What a bunch of BS.

You've got to be kidding me. What a load of shit. I guess you gotta blame something to make yourself feel better about no team wanting you...

The reporter has it wrong. Hudson clearly believes Dye has a vagina.

Maybe I'm naive, but it would seem to me that teams would want to sign the players who give them the best shot at winning, despite what colour they are. In sports, doesn't winning trump racism?

Money triumphs over racism. And winning brings in more money. Orlando, you sir are a turd.

Passan's point, however, is a solid one. MLB needs to work on the perception of racism and the precipitation of that perception tout-de -suite if they want to attract and keep African American fans. Otherwise, there will be less money to "triumph" over anything.

Hudson is just bitter because he isn't worth a long-term deal and he feels he got screwed in free agency twice while all these crackers got paid. Too bad all the names listed in that story as getting the shaft are ancient and sucky. Bad examples.

O-Dog's always been one of my favorite non-Cubs. Disappointing to see from him.

I guess the "perception" of racism and the actual existence of it are two different things, eh?

It seems pretty obvious that good black players are getting the same big contracts as anyone else. Take C.C. Sabbathia and Ryan Howard for example. If players perform, they get paid, regardless of their skin color. Good players get good money.

I agree with Rok. It seems like Hudson is just bitter about his own situation.

It's pretty fucking pathetic when, in order to utterly fail to make your point, you have to whine on behalf of other "victims," since you're not...you know...actually good enough to build a case using yourself as an example.

Well, maybe not sucky, but not at all great and nowhere near as good as they had been. The question is how does MLB make that point, especially as they deal with investigations of collusion. The only hope I see is encouraging the Howards and Sabathias to respond to Hudson's (and Torii Hunter's) accusations.

There's a guy, who happens to be black, and also happens to be a total douchebag...and he still managed to get a 3/$30M contract.

Like that could happen.
