Aramis is just not being patient and swinging out of his shoes. He's always swung hard, but he's taking 3-1 swings on the first pitch of the at bat when it's a slider two feet outside. He needs to just relax, shorten his swing a bit, and start making some consistent contact. He's popping up or swinging and missing all the time because he's in launch mode.

He's struck out 26 times in 101 at bats. In 2006, he struck out just 63 times in 594 at bats. Even last year just 43 times in 306 at bats.

It just makes no sense. He's early on all the breaking balls and late on all the fastballs he sees. He looks like a headcase right now. I haven't seen anyone slump this badly and have such a terrible approach at the plate since the glory days of CPatt. No discipline at all.
