I almost left even earlier, but I stuck around for the top of the 8th. I was in the park as the Cubs came to bat in the 8th.

I was pissed off by many things.

I probably would have done the same, believe it or not.

I'll never leave a early game unless I absolutely have to, doesn't matter what the score is.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

-5 beers cost me almost 40 dollars.
-Brewers fans talking smack. Brewers fans.
-dipshits wearing WHITE SOX shirts to a Cubs/Brewers game
-classless fans treating an admittedly semi-retarded Soriano like shit.
-An annoying guy with a laugh like a donkey, who sat next to me, and laughed at literally EVERY SINGLE thing he said. Not what someone else said. What he himself said.
-too many Brewers triples.
-Alcides Escobar looking like Pete Rose.
-my phone malfunctioning, costing me box seats.

it was also a bit chillier than I thought it might be....

So, did you miss the Cubs rally and the Marmol display? Please tell me you got to see T and Fuk come through.

I eventually moved to the 400 level seats, which was nice, but not perfect.

I never leave games early. My buddy once wanted to leave a Titans playoff game early. If we had, we would have missed the Music City Miracle.

See, I have never left a game early because I'm a fairweather fan. I have left games early because watching my team lose and be embarrassed makes me physically ill, and I am not even exaggerating this point. This is especially true if I go to a game and don't drink. Now, if I go to a late season game and we are out of it or have already made the playoffs, then I will stay to the end no matter what. I can just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. Otherwise, my emotions always get the best of me.

A couple of comments regarding yesterday's game.

Tons of Brewer fans - near Cardinal-esqe magnitude - in attendance. Even started a couple of Let's Go Brewer chants.

It's the 8th inning, Cubs have given up runs in back-to-back innings. Grey gets called up to the big leagues in time to give up 2 runs in the 8th. LaTroy Hawkins has just gotten 2 quick outs and it's 2 strikes against Baker. The heart of the Brewers order is slatted to come to the plate in the 9th.

Well, we all know how the story ends. The 4 run rally. Marmol slamming the door on the win. Great Cubs victory!

In other words, there were valid reasons for folks to begin leaving Wrigley.

Luckily, some didn't and saw a great Cubs come from behind victory.

Unfortunately, it was worse than you thought. The cell phone malfunction cost you both box seats and a skybox ticket.

It cost me ICE CREAM too!

I'm not sure what is going on. My wife called me to tell me she and the kids were eating at Blimpies/TCBY. She said the phone rang and rang, and finally went to VM. My phone STILL doesn't show a missed call (or a received one for that matter).

This is beyond annoying, as I've NEVER been to the skyboxes at Wrigley, and would really have liked to have met you.

Kick in the pants.
