Exactly.

Do we really want to give Silva and Gorz 140 more innings a piece than Z?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Why not just try Silva there first AT LEAST? This whole fucking thing is ridiculous and possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

Exactly right. You know what's sad? I am not even surprised. I am really getting sick of this retarded organization.

You guys already tape this week's B&I?

I'm looking forward to penning tomorrow night's Cubs Report.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
No show this week. Evan would have just said "fuck" over and over. We'll be back next week.

This'll teach me to go teach class. They're laughing their asses off in St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Bridgeport right now.

Why didn't they fucking try this shit when they had Harden last year?

How do you justify moving $18 MM to the bullpen?

Maybe this is just a response to the Cubs having one of the most expensive starting pitching staff in the majors. Cubs management decided the bullpen didn't have enough cash behind it so BOOM. Now the bullpen budget looks grand and the starters budget is still high.

Yeah, his arm would have blown up the first time they tried to pitch him on back to back days

Well obviously my first reaction was, "this is nuts" but I don't think its all that bad to try out. I mean we have to try something don't we? Or just fire-sale. Lou has to be frustrated that no matter who he puts in the game out of the pen, they get lit up every night.

If you have to take one of the good starters and put them in the pen, I do think Z is the best option. Demp has been there before and was mediocre, he has been much better as a starter. Wells' pinpoint control, stamina and lack of overpowering stuff makes him a better starter than reliever and Lilly is a lefty with a one hour pre-game ritual before he pitches, not a good option either.

I do think it will probably be temporary and there are so many other problems with this team I doubt it does much but I'm not gonna flip out just yet.

Look, uh Jim, I've moved the hispanic young man, eh, Zambrano, to the bullpen. This Silva's looking good and Gorzpoonanny, uh, Gorzelanny's shown me something.

Just when I thought you couldn't do anything dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!
