I'm a huge, huge, huge, Floyd fan. But I really am torn about going. I hate Roger Waters has a person, and I really do not want to support him financially nor hear his political bullshit, yet this might be the last chance I have at seeing one of the members of my favourite band ever.

What say you guys? I know a few of you are big PF fans like myself.

I'm a big Floyd fan, but I actually think their best stuff is when Waters isn't singing. Gilmour is my favorite guitar player of all time and I love his vocals as well. I've never cared as much for Waters' actual singing, but he is of a course a great lyricist.

I'm not sure if I would go or not.

Exactly. Gilmour is a better musician, but Waters is a better mind, even though it kind of got the best of him. Animals and Wish You Were Here were great albums because you got the Gilmour effect in guitars and a fair share of vocals, with all the prose of Waters. Fuck Roger Waters. "Pigs" is the only song I love with him singing, really. The Wall and The Final Cut is just all of Waters' lyrics gone mad, and his melodramatic music, sans the passion of Gilmour. The best songs on that album, "Hey You" and "Comfortably Numb" are basically the only songs with Gilmour's touch on them, which makes them great.

i caught Gilmour's semi-recent "live in g'dansk" on tv and was mesmerized. that said, i think this show would be a blast as well.
Life is a bitch, but she's totally doable.

I refuse to see another show in the Pepsi Center. It's the shittiest concert venue that I've ever been to. Throw in the $250 charge for a decent seat, and you can forget about it.

I'm leaning toward catching one of the 2 shows here, but haven't made up my mind yet. The Wall isn't close to my favorite Floyd album though, and I have mixed feelings about Waters as a person, but still this is very tempting.

What in the fuck is the "izod center"? What a stupid use of naming rights.

HOLY SHIT - it's actually coming to Columbus.

Many years ago, when Pink Floyd last toured (sans Waters), I passed on going because the tickets were insanely expensive, and I was maybe in high school at the time.

I've regretted it ever since.
