Castro being called up?
#76
I don't like Castro batting 8th, but we will get to see how patient the kid is in his first game because he is going to see a lot of crap in front of the pitcher. Hopefully in time he will swap with Theriot in the lineup. I think Theriot is much better suited for the 8th spot.

Also, until Amarmis gets his head out of his ass, I would like to see Soto in his spot. I never thought I would say that we should bat Ramirez 7th, but he is useless with runners on right now.

So what the hell are the Cubs going to do with Fontenot?

He's the only lefty bat infielder the Cubs have and suppose he could play SS but with Theriot, Baker and Fontenot at 2nd something should give.

In a month from now, if Castro is able to handle the transition to MLB, would the Cubs be in position to trade Fontenot and get something serviceable for the 2010 season?

Probably if he is included in a package for a RP, but I doubt we'd get much in return for him alone. I'm wondering how he will be used myself.

Would definitely need to package him with someone.

Not sure why Ace didn't provide a link.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

At the time there wasn't one outside of Enrique Rojas' Twitter. I was posting the story remotely, so I just went with the source sans link.

I know it's not a motivating factor in this decision but it sure redirects the Cubs' current storyline.

I think we could get a lot more for Theriot than Fontenot. Font and Baker make a solid platoon at 2B. I could care less if either are traded.

That's nice of you kid.

I think we should package Theriot, Gorzy, and Jeff Samardizja for a good back of the rotation guy and we should be in good shape.

Hope you keep me around kid. I like this forum, but I must honestly say I don't understand either of your last posts.

I came here tonight because I'm fucking jacked about Starlin Castro!

Never in my wildest dreams could I have thought he would have a debut like this.
