Cubs Signed Howry. I'm Not Kidding
#1
Wish I was. He's looked maybe even worse than his stats show in the games I've seen of him this year. 90 mph straight fastballs nonstop. What a waste of time.

See, it's really, really hard to be a GM.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I'm looking for an official link, but it's been all over twitter and from outlets such as CSN.

Here's an example: "@CSNChicago: CSN has learned that the #Cubs have signed Bob Howry to a deal"

The Diamondbacks released Howry for a reason, right?

Howry
10.67 ERA (8.96 FIP)
So yeah, that ERA is hideous. But it's only 14 innings, and besides, relievers ERA's are sometimes weird. But that FIP indicates...yep, he really sucks.

He has naked photos of Jim and Lou together. That's one explanation for this move.
Others?

It should be noted that the D-backs have the worst bullpen in baseball. Literally, the worst.

So what does it say about Howry that he was the odd man out

PCB must have such a hard-on.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena. [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I wonder what valuations Hendry actually uses? He obviously scoffs at statistics.
Are his scouts really telling him, "Yeah, Howry has still got it. He's money. Sign him quick, before the Yankees scoop him up." ?

I mean you can't really get mad about it...it's just too damn funny. I know we need bullpen help, but just throwing a worthless arm in there just for the sake of doing something seems fairly pointless.
