I don't believe the organization is in a hurry, but Ryno seems to be in a hurry, if you've followed his comments in the past. That's why I can't see such a pairing, short-term or not, with Tram being a good situation.

I'm not suggesting a hurry. But Lou is gonna be done soon and if Ryno isn't brought along, he has to wait out someone else's tenure...which is ok if that's a narrowly defined tenure. Do you think he'll wait indefinitely to manage the Cubs? Someone else might offer him a job. We have no way of knowing whether that would be a tragedy or dodging a bullet but it would be good for the Cubs to manage these options well.
