Funny, but I was talking to a cousin of mine not too long after that incident happened, and she mentioned that she went to grammar school with that douche in Elmwood Park. I guess he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer back then either.

"He said, 'What are you doing?'" Howry said. "I'm out here trying to give up home runs -- what do you think? He didn't deserve a response."

He was gone?
I picture a pissed-off Amazon bitch; uncontrollable, disobedient, boldly resisting any kind of emotional shackles...angrily begging for more ejaculate. -KB

Isn't that a picture of him being escorted out of a Mensa meeting?

In all serious, Howry had 2 of 3 good years with us. While some might credit his home park for his good numbers with San Fran last year, his road numbers (even granting a very low BABIP) were nowhere close to disasters. His main problem this year, like in 2008, has been the long ball. Chalk me up as someone who sees this a potentially shrewd move.

I'm glad he's back and look forward to him stopping rallies and saving games.

So we finally, and I mean FINALLY, DFA'd Patton. I can't believe it took this long.

There is the silver lining to this move. Hendry is a genius.

I'm really glad we stored Patton on the roster last year.

And--in the risk of beating a dead horse--forced ourselves to trade Weurtz to make room for him.
