I hope both you and us win and go through. If England don't win I am going on a drinking binge of epic proportions, and will very much still be drunk when I get to work on Thursday.
I am no fan of the English side, but it would make the tournament so much better if they were to advance. Thanks, and good luck to you as well.
Go USA!!!

Soccer refs have too much control over the games.

The 2nd half is gonna be a tense one. I have a feeling that after one goal by the USA, and the game will open up.

Holy fucking shit.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

I'm glad they won.
That said, this international game which is supposed to consist of the best players of each country is really fucking bush league. This game will never catch on in the US if we have to watch people fake fouls on weak hits after watching hockey and football for half the year; get little bumps and flop all over the field like pussies, if we have to watch referees completely change the game while having to answer absolutely nothing for it. The refs needed to make like 10 close calls in each of these US games and it seems they blew half...or maybe up calls or fouls...or missed absolutely obvious calls...Beasley's handball?? Two goals taken away incorrectly???? And then all the cheap shit when the ref isn't watching, the elbows, etc. Americans will not enjoy flops in front of the ref and then slapping some dude in the dick when is back is turned.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

HUGE wins for the USA and England. It would have been absolutely shocking had Slovenia and Algeria advanced. I've never been a big Donovan fan, but he's really played his ass off so far.
Now to see who we'll be facing in the next round. Hopefully Germany wins, so it will be either Ghana or Serbia.
I got nothin'.
