I understand impatience as a Cubs fan, but I really don't think its possible to make any stone hard conclusions about Ricketts as an owner three months into it.

Until Ricketts brings in "his people" and puts a new organizational structure in place, we are all guessing as to what sort of vision he has. That said, impatience by definition is irrational. Being a hardcore fan of any team, let alone the Cubs, is by default an irrational exercise, so it isn't much of a leap to become frustrated and impatient with ownership, even though they haven't had enough time to effect real change. At the very least, you get the sense that the honeymoon period is over, right or wrong.

He may still. I gave Ricketts a pass this year, because it's year one and the team was pretty much in place. This next season is crucial though. They, at the very least, need to prove that they have a game plan, a direction, a blue print. I'm not necessarily demanding a World series next year, but at least some progress towards one in the near future.
