New Arcade Fire album

High Violet is one of my favorite albums from the last few years. I still listen to at least a couple of songs from it every day.

Heaven is Whenever by the Hold Steady is my favorite album of the year thus far. These guys have become one of my favorite bands very quickly.

This. Very strongly, this.

I can't stress enough how deep this album is. Not philosophically, but cut-wise. They play nearly the entire album in concert these days, and there isn't a song they play that I am disappointed with.

Maybe I'm misreading what you're trying to say, but it seems to me that you like this album quite a bit?

Yeah, I listened to the album again twice last night, and it absolutely gets better with age. I don't say this much about the music that I normally listen to, but there is something so soothing and melodic about this band's sound that it is hard to put into words, and impossible to duplicate.

I think 2010 has been the best since 07.

I'd add new pornographers and band of horses (even though I know most disagree with the latter). the new apples in stereo has some good tracks on it as well though as an album it's a bit too out there for my tastes.
