Ok, I'm just going to say it. With September call-ups around the corner (Steele, Thompson, Deichmann, Rivas, etc.), this could actually be a fun team to watch for the remainder of the season.

I am very interested in seeing how Steele handles starting this go around.

As shitty as this season is, I've actually been enjoying watching all year. Maybe it's just the fact that I don't really care if we win or lose which makes everything a lot less stressful/frustrating. Also Boog and JD seem to be even more loose and funny when we're losing so that helps too (when they're not jerking off on vacation).

I haven't watched a full game probably since the end of that Dodgers series that started the slide.

I cant even remember when I last watched. I just check the box scores to see how certain players are doing.

I don't watch full games either. I'm not that insane.

I still watch at least 4-5 innings of each game on most nights, but haven't really been emotionally invested for a few years now. I hope that changes soon with an infusion of new blood.

I still watch most games but on average maybe 2-4 innings of each
Still going to Wrigley as I’m an idiot but still enjoy the atmosphere. Tickets are already paid for and don’t want to sell them at less than 50% of ticket price. Getting more value by attending than recognizing financial loss on the ledgers would be a consultant-ese rationalization of my behavior

On a positive note, less Sox fans at Wrigley than I was expecting
And camera guy just missed hitting Chris Chelios is head with a peanut - yup the highlights of Cubs baseball

The current roster has some serious Warning Track Power!

Well that was interesting.

As I recall his velocity was down, might end up being a problem.

Welp.

Quote:As I recall his velocity was down, might end up being a problem. The home run ball was 97 mph, down and in. Wasnt a bad pitch at all. |
