Bye Javy

Quote:A work friend of mine was saying that some of the national guys like Heyman were saying they just can't handle big market pressure, if that's what theyre saying they are dumber than I thought.

Yeah...he's been playing his whole career in a sleepy one-horse town. New York isn't the only big market in baseball, you dumb fucks.

Yeah, this is why I don't follow those guys.

It’s up there but remember they’re competing against Boston-stupid, Florida man stupid, TX stupid, corn fed fuck stupid, and pacific coast stupid. There’s a lot of competition for that distinction

So the Mets are 2 games under .500 after just winning 2 games yesterday and are in third place in their division? Good luck with that, way to be buyers at the deadline.

Also, I thought this line was funny from the article:

Quote:The backlash from the tasteless gesture forced some players to apologize after team president Sandy Alderson called it “unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Thumbs down isn't really a "tasteless gesture". Clutch those pearls, Mets fans and NY Post writers, all three of you it took to write that article.

I would have loved Javy if he did the same thing to booing fans in Wrigley. New York fans and media are such infants.

So..Javy has been pretty good.

Indeed. He's slashing .298/.360/.570 as a Met.

Fuck those fans -- they don't deserve him.

He's at 30 HRs, is that the most he's ever had?  Feels close.

Actually he's at 31, but had 34 in 2018. Still, good for him after his rough start over there.  I have to say, out of all the 2016 guys I think i have the most love for him.  He was always the best of the bunch on and off the field.  It really impressed me that he was the first one to plaster himself all over billboards encouraging people to get vaccinated.

It'll be interesting to see where all these guys end up after this season.

Yes, Javy was and still is my favorite from that era of Cubs baseball. I want him to put that uniform back on and never leave, but wonder what his market will be in the offseason. Fuck NYC.
