Jeimer Candelario and Willson Contreras are lighting up AA.

I'm really excited to see Cease and Sands progress.

Hopefully both can stay healthy enough to move through the system quickly.

Cease is still wild as fuck with his pitches. He walked 4 in 1.1 innings to go alongside 3 strike outs. Arizona Phil has always stated that he has the best stuff out of any pitching prospect in the Cubs system, but zero control. If he can learn to control his pitches, he is a potential #1 starter.

Sounds like a future reliever.

He's 19 years old, just out of HS, and just came back from TJS.  He's got a ton of time to figure it out.

Almora starting to heat up and snap out of his year long slump.

And he continually makes the web gems with his defense.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Not anymore. Baez was 1-3 with a BB and SO today in Iowa's win.

Reinaldo went 2 for 3 with a double (inches from being a home run), a WALK, RBI, SB and 3 runs scored today. His batting average now at .261 when it was sitting at .234 only a week ago. I was ready to write him off this year but hopefully he will finish the season strong. I really hope he can live up to his potential with the bat as his glove is something else out there, especially since we could very much have a Schwarber or Bryant in LF in the future.

It would be awesome if he finished so strong that he put himself in position for an Iowa promotion in 2016. The big leagues wouldn't be that far away at that point. Still would like to see him develop more plate discipline first though.
